Central Virginia 

General Foreman – Responsible for the following: Effectively manage and assess production of crews to ensure job is completed in most efficient manner possible; Work with crew leaders to determine days’ objectives/production goals and assist in assigning crew member as needed; Oversee several crew leaders at once; Knows proper and complete operation of each piece of equipment and sees that the crew uses the right equipment for the job; Must be able to maintain a professional and polite demeanor (providing notification to landowners that we are coming through and will respond to landowner questions and/or complaints); Manages tree care crew while performing all aspects of tree care services; Understands and demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of each position on your crews (Groundsman, Climber, Bucket Operator, etc); Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment; Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards; Review scope of work, equipment requirements, and potential safety issues before beginning work; Brief crews on expectations and assets appropriate assignment of job duties amongst crew members; Responsible for leading training in accordance with ANSI & OSHA Standards; Complete all necessary paperwork (Time Sheets, Pre-Job Hazard Survey’s, Expense Sheets, DVIR’s, etc.); Ensure all safety devices on company equipment are in good working order; Keep driver’s license in your possession at all times when driving our vehicle; If applicable, keep DOT Medical card and CDL License in your possession at all times when driving our vehicle; Report any and all accidents while on the job immediately to your supervisor; All other tasks as assigned and hours needed to fulfill duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, crew members, and public.
• Must be able to lift and carry weights exceeding 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Minimum 3 + year’s experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a CDL and Medical Card or have the ability to obtain one within 3 months.
• ISA Certified arborist or obtaining certification within 6 months, training provided by company.
• Requires ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling and climbing).

Crew Leader – minimum 3 years experience supervising/directing crews

Cat 5 & 6 Pesticide Applicators– Current pesticide applicator license

CDL Drivers – minimum Class B license and clean driving record.

Climbers – minimum 2 years climbing & saw experience.

Trimmers – minimum 2 years experience trimming utility right of ways.

Tractor Operators – minimum 1 year experience running and operating tractor.

Jarraff Operators – minimum 1 year experience operating Jarraff for utility right of way operations.

 

Northern Virginia

CDL Drivers – minimum Class B license and clean driving record.

Crew Leader – minimum 3 years experience supervising/directing crews

Cat 5 & 6 Pesticide Applicators– Current pesticide applicator license

Climbers – minimum 2 years climbing & saw experience.

Trimmers – minimum 2 years experience trimming utility right of ways.

 

Maryland

Regional Supervisor – Responsible for the following: Effectively manage and assess production of crews to ensure job is completed in most efficient manner possible; Work with Supervisors to determine days’ objectives/production goals and assist in assigning crew member as needed; Oversee all Supervisors and Crews in region you are assigned to; Participate in Weekly Safety Call and Quarterly Meetings; Knows proper and complete operation of each piece of equipment and sees that the crew uses the right equipment for the job; Ensuring exceptional territory wide customer wide satisfaction; Must be able to maintain a professional and polite demeanor (providing notification to landowners that we are coming through and will respond to landowner questions and/or complaints); Understands and demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of each position on your crews (Groundsman, Climber, Bucket Operator, etc); Ensures that all crews utilize all required personal protective equipment; Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards; Review scope of work, equipment requirements, and potential safety issues before beginning work; Brief Supervisors on expectations and assets appropriate assignment of job duties amongst crew members; Responsible for leading training in accordance with ANSI & OSHA Standards; Ensure all Supervisor and Crews complete all necessary paperwork and are turned in on a timely manner. (Time Sheets, Pre-Job Hazard Survey’s, Expense Sheets, DVIR’s, etc.); Stopping work in Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) situations and reviewing Recovery Plans that are to be implemented before work can be resumed; Ensure all safety devices on company equipment are in good working order; Keep driver’s license in your possession at all times when driving our vehicle; If applicable, keep DOT Medical card and CDL License in your possession at all times when driving our vehicle; Report any and all accidents while on the job immediately to your supervisor; All other tasks as assigned and hours needed to fulfill duties and responsibilities.  Travel Required: The Regional Supervisor requires regular travel between crew locations. Employees are responsible for creating and submitting expense reports each week for expenditures incurred during travel.
